SYMPTOMS

INFECTION OF LOWER TRACK

• Frequent urination
• Increased urgency of urination
• Cloudy urine
• Burning in urine
• Blood flow with urine
• Urine that has a strong odor
• Pelvic pain in women
• Rectal pain in men

INFECTION OF UPPER TRACK

• Pain and tenderness in the upper back and sides
• Chills
• Fever
• Nausea
• Vomiting

UTI diagnosis

• Urine culture
• CBC in upper track infection

1. Age factor — older adults are more likely to get UTIs
